Stacks Q3 Report: 735 BTC Staked As STX Staking Climbs 25%

Bitcoin layer-2 network Stacks said 735 BTC entered its Bitcoin staking system across the first two lock-up cycles, according to its third-quarter ecosystem report. The first cycle, Bond 1, drew 230 BTC from participants including 21Shares, HashKey Cloud, UTXO Management and Sypher Capital. The second cycle more than doubled that figure to 505 BTC. STX staking also grew after the PoX-5 hard fork, rising more than 25% from 392 million to 493 million tokens. Institutional names among early depositors suggest growing interest in earning yield on Bitcoin without moving it off the Bitcoin network. Lock-up cycles let holders commit BTC for set periods in return for rewards.
