A new official X account for XRP has gone live, managed jointly by Ripple and the XRPL Foundation, according to its profile. The @XRP handle, which joined the platform in October 2026, posted its first message on Monday: “hello, world. It’s about time.” The account had already gathered about 17,200 followers within hours of launch. Its bio describes XRP as the native token of the XRP Ledger, a decentralised blockchain designed for payments, and notes that its posts are not investment advice. The XRP community reacted quickly, with many users reading the cryptic first post as a sign of more announcements to come. Ripple has not said what the account will be used for beyond official XRP updates.
